Old McDonald had a farm.....
Above are the pictures form our trip to Acorn Farm on Wednesday. The kids had a fantastic time and the twins squealed with delight at every single animal they saw.....it was very funny. We fed the pigs, stroked the Bunny's and the little chicks, milked the goats and the big girls even had a ride on the pony's. I was pleasantly surprised at the costs as well, these places are usually a bomb, but the twins were free and children only cost£1 each and Adults £2 - bargain. Bags of feed are 50p and the pony rides are £2 a pop. Being the eternally unorganized fool that i am, i forgot the picnic and so i had to make a trip to the cafe which was also reasonably priced -so a good day had by all, i was exhausted by the end though!

Sounds fab! When baby number two arrives & I'm feeling better, my Boy will love something like this, glad you've researched a cheap one for me ;-). Our annual pass to Blackpool zoo, although well used, may not be value for money, as our 20m old adores the ducks and chickens on the children's farm bit.....perhaps an actual farm much more the ticket!
ReplyDeletents to be a Farmer when she's grown-up (or at least Faremer's wife - equality hasn't quite reached our parts yet). We spent last weekend on a farm and they fed pigs and walked dogs and watched cattle - it's just the best life for them. Shame we live nowhere near a farm! Sounds like you had a great (and cheap) time. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI always forget about food too. By the time we actually get on our way it always seems to be food time again anyway.
ReplyDeletewhat lovely photos! I love that sort of day out with the kids. It is such simple entertainment and a great way to 'connect with nature' (and for me I get to cuddle small animals, which is always a bonus)
ReplyDeleteps - thank you so much for the tag!!! I hope to get around to it soon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd end up squeeing at all the cuteness more than the kids - 'specially the little chick - how sweet?? ;0
